Purchasing telephone numbers is very cheap (typically $1 per month per number) and easy - we've only had one time where they have run out of US numbers. … In my opinion, the ease of implementation and reliability is well worth the additional cost.

We could have just done this in Keap, which is where we handle all our automation, but the cost to send SMS via Keap is many multiple times higher than Twillio, so it was worth doing the integration...
