Pricing is comparable to SOLIDWORKS, but SOLIDWORKS is a better value.


SketchUp is a nice tool for quickly sketching something to help visualize an object but it is not practical... … We can pay off a license in just one part for a part for which there are no longer parts available.”

I didn't get the feeling AutoDesk wanted to help me get better at using their program so I'd purchase it.
The second reason we chose SOLIDWORKS was the payment plan.

Pro-E has been around a long time and definitely has it's purposes, but for price, easy of use, and ability to easily find a trained workforce, SOLIDWORKS definitely fits the bill.

SOLIDWORKS does get expensive for a startup company like mine, because you have to pay for seats individually until you get to a certain amount of people, and my company does not have enough yet.
