Companies that want to go with a clean implementation. So we started using it because one of our customers is interested in SAP HANA Cloud. That was the main reason.

Pros

SAP HANA Cloud is good. The customer doesn't need to worry about managing the infrastructure, basic support, or any type of IT-related work. The user has to come in and use the product. Don't worry about managing it. That's the beauty of it. It also provides everything a customer needs. So if a customer wants to customize, change some things outside the SAP HANA Cloud process, it is difficult to do. Customers can go into a challenging area in that space.

Likelihood to Recommend

Anyone starting to implement ASAP should just go with SAP HANA Cloud. That's very easy for you to implement. And as long as you work with the right partner, choose the right partner, define your process so that it's easy to implement a product.

It's our primary ERP system. So we use it for everything, AR, AP, employee management, and accounting close. It does everything on the back office side for us.

Pros

I think it's become very easy for the user to navigate. I believe it does a very good job of integrating with some of our external systems in order to enable things like management reporting and better T&E visibility. Just overall, it's got a relatively slick interface that helps our users get their jobs done.

Cons

If anything, I'd say there are times when the older version of SAP HANA Cloud kind of rears its head for our users when they're not expecting it. So that can cause a little confusion because they're not used to the interface.
There's always room for improvement in any cloud product.
I would say that there are times when our users struggle to find how data links between the different areas of the product, between AR or cash management applications, and whatnot. So, just making those connections a little more visible so that our users don't get lost when trying to navigate the system for their data.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think if you have a large organization, it's probably the product and the marketplace to go to. We're a large management consulting firm operating in four to seven countries. And generally speaking, I think that's the size and the scope where it scales best. I can't speak to smaller companies, but I can't see smaller companies leveraging the benefits as much as a larger organization can.

We are currently migrating the entire ERP system to SAP/4HANA. We've encountered problems in several sectors, mainly due to user resistance to change. It's completely different from using PeopleSoft, and some changes are specific to certain retail businesses. In Mexico, there are different rules and configurations for government regulations and understanding certain issues. Overall, I find it very fast and user-friendly. However, customizations are costly, and people need time to understand the change, but that's the challenge we face and must overcome.

Actualmente se esta migrando el ERP completo a SAP/4HANA, hemos presentado problemas en varios sectores, mas que nada por el tema de la resistencia al cambio de los usuarios es algo completamnte diferente ya que manejabamos Peoplesoft, ademas que algunos cambios son especificos para ciertos retail, los cuales en Mexico existen reglas y combinaciones diferentes para el gobierno o para entender algunas cuestiones, en general me parece super rapido, y amable con el usuario, sin embargo las customizaciones cuestan, y a las personas entender el cambio, pero es le reto que tenemos y que debe de resolver
