Paychex makes pay easy
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are a consulting company who has multiple clients that we support with payroll, accounting, taxes and legal. We advise them on which payroll platform to use and then set them up and support them with bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls. We often use Paychex for clients that have fewer than 10 employees as it is an easier set up and more cost effective.
Pros
- The site is user friendly
- Assigned support is very responsive
- It houses supporting tools such as requesting signatures for tax items
- It offers separate benefits for no cost to the employer but good for the employees
Cons
- There is often a disconnect between the Tax Pay team and items missing
- There is no PTO tracker
- Integrated items such as 401K can be difficult to troubleshoot when an issue arises
Likelihood to Recommend
Paychex is great option for smaller employers as the site offers perk benefits to employees at no cost to the employer. I don't see anything like this being offered at competitors such as ADP RUN/Total Source, Bamboo, Trinet, Justworks or Gusto. Also, the initial set up is relatively easy and the dedicated support for set up is great along with our regular dedicated payroll support.
