It's a great tool when you are creating Oracle APIs. The instructions given for accessing the Oracle Service Bus Console, creating Proxy Services to be published as API's, how to Activate the session, adding metadata, and publishing APIs to the API Manager Portal are very precise. Instructions on how to edit the metadata of an API are also very good.

Oracle API Manager is used by my department. It helps with our team's backend problems. When endpoints change in external APIs, this tool helps in modifying our system and testing. We use the developer tool to create proxy services that are later published as APIs. Service Bus also works nicely with this tool.

When developing a system does not require too much maintenance, this tool may not be needed.

But the performance is low as compared to other databases. It supports both rest and soap API. Authentication process needs to be improved.
