We use NGINX to demonstrate to our clients how applications that use microservices can be monitored and integrated into their console for complete visibility; NGINX certainly covers microservices and Kubernetes.

NGINX is used as a load balancer/reverse proxy for our web properties from dev through pre-release production. We integrate traffic from BIG-IP virtual IPs and delegate upstream traffic through the reverse proxy function.

  • published helm charts for initial k8s deployments were either scarce or non-existent and had to be custom built

In our organization, We use NGINX as a reverse proxy and load balancer in our enterprise architecture. We also use NGINX to help improve website security in conjunction with Shape.

  • Relative complexity when configuring X-Cigna-True-client-IP
  • Code in a branch can be overwritten by the next comit
  • Creating a template to support routing to Shape was difficult due to complexity of architecture patterns

Using NGINX for some Reverse Proxy services for security purposes. Helps to mask the IP address of our true IP Address. Looking to see what more we can do with NGINX like its load balancing function and web functions. <div>
