Good for project planning and tracking
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are a research and evaluation firm with a small team. Each team member works on multiple projects. We use Klient to plan and track project work, as well as analyzing data from past projects to inform future planning. We also use it to communicate about project-related tasks.
Pros
- Showing the workload of a given team member (resource) at any given point in time.
- Documenting hours assigned to different tasks
- Maintaining a record of task-related communications
Cons
- The learning curve is rather long and steep. The interface is very busy and it is hard to remember 1) what all the functions are and 2) how to access them
- Could use better integration with systems like Gusto to avoid duplicating work for things like entering time off
- Timesheet interface could use a function to freeze the first row and column for easier navigation and time entry.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well-suited to looking at what is on each team member's plan for deciding how to assign people to future projects, or how to re-assign tasks when the need arises.
It is less well-suited for showing each team member what is on their plate for the day or week, or for checking off tasks as completed in a list (i.e. as is done with Monday or Asana)
