Hyperproof helps centralize and streamline the management of risk and compliance of our organization. Our InfoSec team is using Hyperproof as a governance tool ensuring that we are compliant with different industry standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO, SOC 2, etc. It allows cross-department collaboration and enable automations for monitoring security controls.

Pros

Hyperproof integrates seamlessly with Microsoft products such as Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and SharePoint.
It allows the InfoSec team to monitor and manage compliance with different Standard using built-in benchmarks.
It centralized all audit evidences in to one location that is readily available for third-party auditors.

Cons

The interface page loads, which may have affected by our integrations, need improvement.
It could benefit additional integrations to automate compliance of IT systems such as an Azure Virtual machine.
I would like to see a separate dashboard or page for file management and storage syncs to easily manage them.

We use Hyperproof for Auditors communication. Hyperproof is very helpful as they tell us what reports they want. We run the reports and attach to Hyperproof selection. Then they select items they want to test from the reports. We attach the selections to the Hyperproof. And all communication is done through Hyperproof.

Hyperproof is used by the Group to retain evidence of control adherence and to provide reminders that ensure compliance with core finance and business controls. It is used across the business from product development and marketing to finance. It allows one step monitoring of the status of controls across the entire business.

The tool works well as a central storage for controls and allows easy monitoring by control managers. Hyperproof doesn't make it easy for staff covering holidays etc to locate controls that are not normally their responsibility. There also seems to be little link between the Tasks functionality and the control functionality.

I find the UX (user experience) a tiny bit confusing to navigate but don't have many cons

I have used it as an HR professional to support IT in various audits. It is helpful to be assigned specific tasks and only have the needed visibility and not see everything. Answering the tasks/controls and uploading documents has been pretty straightforward and I can easily be tagged or asked follow up questions.

We use Hyperproof to document our SOPs (standard operating procedures) and protocols in place for our organization. Through the platform, we are given tasks to complete where we upload some evidence via jpeg files or PNG files and adding comments to the task to provide the latest updates for the task. The tasks get reviewed by our cybersecurity team to ensure they fit the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards

Viewing the data and uploading files to the tasks are pretty quick and easy to read.

Hyperproof helps us address the issue of our audit evidence, policies and control documentation being spread across multiple tools making audits a resource intensive and reactive task. It helps us provide a one-stop-shop for our security & privacy complaince requirements.

Cons

The software could be made a little easier to use for non-technical teams.
Inter-related functionality and features could be more intuitive
Versioning of evidence brought in through are integration (not Hypersyncs) is automatic and happens even when a document is not updated.

Hypeproof is great for large organisations with mature InfoSec & Compliance teams. It helps streamline compliance activities and decentralize evidence collection to ensure that business teams take ownership.

It may not be suitable for extremely small companies with not very mature compliance & infosec teams.

We currently use Hyperproof as a central tool for managing compliance, frameworks, risk and audits. We use it to track and maintain our compliance across multiple frameworks. Hyperproof is very helpful when it comes to audit, it streamlined the process for evidence collection.

Before we have Hyperproof, we rely heavily on spreadsheets, emails and tracking manually.

Hyperproof serves as a single source of evidence for all compliance documentation and audit related evidence. It also provide real time visibility to the status of controls and also the risk posture. Automating evidence requests and reminders saves a lot of time compare to back and forth email follow ups. Also enable us to reuse evidence across multiple standards.

We use Hyperproof all year round not just during the audits. This helps us to maintain continuous compliance and address risks proactively.

Pros

Program Module - Easily view the real time status of all the standards
Audit Module - easier to work with Internal POC and auditor
Risk Module - you can easily track the registered risk and their status
Automation - reduce the manual effort
Policy Module

Cons

Add a client module, Hyperproof have existing Vendor Module. Its will be good if they add a client module too.

We primarily use Hyperproof for control management. Managing PCI, CIS and ISO 27001 controls without having to manage hundreds of separate controls. We also oversee the complete policy lifecycle within Hyperproof and manage all of our risk registers. We wanted a tool that would grow with us and so far the tool has delivered.

Integrates well with Jira and Asana
Simple dashboards that tell you the key information

Cons

Third Party Management needs work (but I believe watch this space)
Minor tweaks like linking a requirement to a scoped control, not just the high level control would be useful
Quantification of risks is needed

Likelihood to Recommend

The tool is well suited if you're using spreadsheets or comparable tools and want to improve your game. If you're struggling to gain visibility of which controls need attention, then Hyperproof delivers. Do not buy it if you are already heavily matured using a Druva or similar product as it won't compete with the granularity they provide -- but it wins so much on simplicity.

Hyperproof is used as a our central system of record to collect, organize, and submit HR evidence (employee listings, offer letters, background checks, and policy acknowledgments) that support SOX controls around hiring, access, and termination, instead of chasing files across email, shared drives, and HR systems. It uses workflows and labels to request and track documents from HR/control owners on a recurring cadence, and lets the same artifacts be mapped across multiple SOX controls and frameworks so they can be reused. It addresses several business problems: eliminating ad‑hoc evidence chases, reducing audit prep time and disruption by enabling our third-party auditors to self‑serve within the platform, and improving consistency and coverage of HR‑related SOX evidence through automation, centralized storage, and clear ownership.

Hyperproof is well suited when HR documentation is a major part of SOX and related audits, such as demonstrating completed background checks, signed offer letters, and policy acknowledgments for all in‑scope employees. In environments with multiple control owners or multiple HR team members involved, it works especially well as a central workspace where HR can consistently provide and reuse evidence across SOX and SOC 2. Hyperproof is less appropriate when HR operations are small, low‑complexity, or only lightly involved in compliance, because the overhead of configuring controls, workflows, and evidence can outweigh the benefit. Also when HR processes are unstructured (for example, documents scattered across email and shared drives with no clear owners or cadences), since significant process cleanup and standardization are needed before the platform’s workflows and evidence model provide full value.
