Along for Any Ride- Google Assistant
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I am in an "On the go" mode often as both a performer and in my bartending role on the side. I work through a Google environment and I'm beyond satisfied with it . I realize people have many options in today's hectic, digital world and that is why I support and promote the usage of apps and productivity programs in my everyday life such as Google Assistant. I am able to navigate my needs via voice command and have the ability to simplify my general task load. I do not want to confuse Google Assistant with the newer, more AI driven Android complement Gemini. Gemini has it's own place and currently it is not with me by choice. I may get there. And if I do, I'll likely have my hands still on Google Assistant for the things Gemini may not do well. That's the beautiful thing about good, solid software and programs in that there are options for many different needs. When I use a feature that simplifies my needs and does it well, it receives a 10 because I realize I could be stuck in a situation to not have a game changer as I do. So for my everyday logistics layouts and notes, I keep Google Assistant at my fingertips!
Pros
- Setting appointments and alarm notifications
- Uses its vocal command reception to create notes, organize a plan and to keep me on point.
- The assistant is a help when searching for information about certain topics or just any general scenario.
Cons
- I think newer, complementary ideas are a bit sharper than Google Assistant especially in a Q&A environment or when seeking some depth to a subject. That enhancement is to be expected I feel. And Google Assistant is not so self limiting so I don't have a lot of improvement needs because I use this for what I've become accustomed to and for the ability overall.
- It is always important to do your best around hectic places, in bad tower signal areas or even if trying to do something new while using Google Assistant. Have patience in the setting. It pays off.
Likelihood to Recommend
I'm in a Me vs. The World environment rather often. I can connect to my outer realm when heading to live meetings. Auditions, job assignments all via my assistant. I like having the ability to capture the moment and rewrite it as well. This is a primary driver for me. Sometimes branching out or when collaborating, I think I work a little harder in the moment than Google Assistant might but that is moreso my limitations and not the feature so much. I catch this scene when I'm in a group environment or at times having to create and respond to a larger scale event. Not a deal breaker for me however.
