Would recommend to any smaller sized firm

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Filevine enables my firm to process all the client materials in any given case. This helps make sure all our documentation is centralized and standardized. We use this software for each of our clients and utilize pretty much every feature that Filevine offers. We would quite literally not be able to function without this program.

Pros

  • Centralizes documentation
  • Easily sorts/filters information
  • Creates a clear record for each case file
  • enables multiple firms to work on the same client/case

Cons

  • Would be nice to see AI incorporated somehow here.
  • A feature to email documents into Filevine case files
  • Document viewer could be improved

Likelihood to Recommend

Filevine is well suited for a firm that manages all of its case files. The main downside I would say is that it is not always entirely clear which person in the firm is making the additions or uploading the documents into the case files. This makes it more difficult to assess when errors were made and by whom.

Filevine - One Stop Case Review

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Filevine to organize and negotiate medical bills. I like how it places everything in one place for medical information regarding each case. I also use the documentation tab to look up case information regarding liens and key case information that important in closing a case. Since I am in the closing department I also use QB accounting so that I can make sure case expenses are accounted for in disbursement of funds.

Pros

  • Vital Case information that right in front of me at all times
  • Quick Access to financial reports that are key to the firm
  • And great contact information that is found all in one place

Cons

  • Improving document tracking. I wish Filevine could automatically organize all files uploaded
  • Every time I log off, I lose the cases that I was working on for the next day
  • ChatGPT should be integrated into Filevine for more accurate analysis

Likelihood to Recommend

Filevine is great for keeping up with case information and using the activity to quickly understand the case. Utilizing activity and logging day to day updates is what helps in all required actions from attorneys to assistants. I would not recommend Filevine to depend on updated medical bills and negotiations and calling.

Very customizable but also very frustrating.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Filevine for case management. It is used multiple times a day by several employees.

Pros

  • The site is rarely down.
  • The site is customizable.

Cons

  • Data transfer from old software stalled at 90%; the final 10% took over a year.
  • Data has been lost. It took many months for them to create a workaround.
  • Emails to account reps frequently go unanswered. Sometimes it is because the account rep left the company -- this happens FREQUENTLY, there is no notice given to clients, and no one monitors that email address. We often have to email support to find out who our new rep is.
  • Features are frequently changed. Occasionally, it is an improvement; usually, it just annoys our staff because they have to adjust to a new workflow.

Likelihood to Recommend

The usefulness will 100% depend on the person from Filevine who does the customization and training.

Filevine makes case management easy.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Filevine to organize contacts, legal filings, and draft documents in a drive that is accessible to everyone in the firm, as well as editing and combining files in PDF form. FileVine simplifies a complex legal field by making all the information readily available in a visually appealing and user-friendly way.

Pros

  • PDF Editing and Combining.
  • Drive is easily accessible to all at the firm.
  • Allows for prioritizing tasks in a user-friendly way.

Cons

  • The PDF document editor can be easier when trying to save changes. Make a button that says save changes, instead of save file.
  • The contacts can probably be more streamlined so that there are not multiple contacts for the same individual or business.
  • Tasks should automatically be changed to a new individual in a parallel role when the file changes teams.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is easy to save documents that you are working on when editing a Word document. That document can then be edited by everyone who has access to the file, rather than allowing for emailing a downloaded copy. I like the email address to tag a case and add documents attached, but sometimes it can be annoying when a document is present a number of times using the tagged email, causing a number of duplicates. Not sure how that can be improved.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Filevine for everyday activities to keep track of all our files and clients. We utilize the system to ensure that we are providing the proper service for our clients. This system has made our job much easier and more efficient. I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking to manage clients and files efficiently.

Pros

  • Client Data
  • Medical treatment sections
  • Easy to use.

Cons

  • It would be good if you could drag a PDF from one section to another.
  • It would be great if Filevine could incorporate an instant messenger option.

Likelihood to Recommend

Very likely. This system is very user-friendly and is used by the majority of law offices in the industry, not only for personal injury, but also features that can be tailored to your specific field. I have a colleague who uses it in their immigration practice, and they seem happy with it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Filevine daily in my Firm. Filevine is part of the intake process through settlement and closing out a case. I have also used Filevine in my deposition preparation and information gathering within my cases. Filevine allows me to have quick access to important case information. With the new AI tools, I can get questions answered quickly and with citations to where I can find the answers within the file.

Pros

  • Information
  • Easy to navigate interface
  • Filevine on the Go App

Cons

  • AI demands are lagging, but hope to be better
  • I would like to see a more robust AI sidebar...its too narrow
  • I would like to be able to scroll/scrub video without having to download it.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is very easy to use. I have staff that are older who are able to navigate Filevine with ease. When you use the product you really can build your firm around it. The best scenario I can describe is the AI chat....it really does pull up accurate information within the file quickly.

Ease of Use makes Filevine a top-notch software.
