What TrustRadius Research Says

Crowdstrike Falcon Pricing

Cybersecurity for company data is a modern company's best offense and defense. Many teams that are hybrid or even fully remote need powerful security at an affordable cost for their team. Crowdstrike Falcon is one option that is both affordable for small businesses and offers flexible network security bundles.

What is Crowdstrike?

The CrowdStrike Falcon enterprise offers a variety of cybersecurity solutions surrounding network security, endpoint security, integrated threat intelligence, and antivirus software. Their products are designed to offer high security to B2B consumers and ease of use for tech teams.

CrowdStrike is used by a wide range of commercial industries such as healthcare, retail, finance, and even election security companies. Crowdstrike secures your data to meet some of the highest compliance standards including HIPAA.

This endpoint security solution also has annual reports covering the security software industry. Their Threat Hunting Report for 2021 and their Global Threat Report for 2022 are available now.

How Much Does Crowdstrike Cost Per User?

We are looking at the pricing model for CrowdStrike’s product bundles. CrowdStrike has a myriad of products we could never cover in one article. Their individual products also do not offer any upfront pricing.

Each subscription in the bundle offers separate services, not individual features. There are also add-on options for other security products on the Falcon platform.

Falcon Pro only includes Falcon Prevent, their featured next-generation antivirus (NGAV) service. It offers an artificial intelligence system with machine learning for automated protection of your company data. It’s designed to protect you from malware, ransomware, and unpatched vulnerabilities.

You can also add on Falcon X, Falcon Device Control, and Falcon Firewall Management. Falcon X is a threat intelligence software and Falcon Device Control is for USB device control. The price you see on the table only has the included products not add ons.

This plan is an affordable antivirus option for small and medium-sized businesses. If you’re looking for more extensive protection then you might go with a different plan.

Falcon Enterprise includes Falcon Prevent and Falcon Insight. Falcon Insight offers endpoint protection and response. The endpoint protection platform comes with powerful features like threat hunting and real-time metrics of your system protection. This is a great choice if you want your protection to offer more proactive security. If a virus that presents itself as a safe application is downloaded, you can still catch it with this software.

You can add on Falcon X, Falcon Firewall Management, Falcon Device Control, and Falcon Overwatch. Falcon Overwatch is an advanced threat hunting software.

Falcon Elite has Falcon Prevent and Falcon Insight like the other plans. In addition it has extra layers of protection with Falcon Discover and Falcon Identity Protection. Falcon Discover comes with app management features and account monitoring capabilities. Falcon Identity Protection has single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA).

This plan is great for hybrid and remote teams that want advanced security for their team members, wherever they are working.

Falcon Complete is implied to offer all bundled services. The bundle does not talk about included costs. You will find on its description page that it’s a security cloud platform service with human experts also evaluating your incoming threats 24/7.

Larger companies will appreciate the complete bundle of software to assure your system security from corner to corner. If you’re a smaller team with a strict budget, you might try one of their other plans or find a cheaper service.

Who Is Crowdstrike's Biggest Competitor?

SentinelOne is one of CrowdStrike’s most significant competitors. They share a lot in common with CrowdStrike, including a lack of pricing for individual services. They do offer to price for their feature-rich packages.

SentinelOne Packages

Singularity Core

Singularity Control

Singularity Complete

Costs per agent a month

$6 per agent per month

$8 per agent per month

$12 per agent per month

All Singularity subscriptions come with integrations compatibility and Global SaaS platform access. All packages also come with NGAV features like behavioral AI, threat intelligence, and incident forensic reporting.

The Singularity Control package has Firewall features, and the Singularity Complete package has EDR features. All plans can also add on network security features.

If you are a larger company and mainly working in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud you can see higher scale prices in the AWS marketplace. These costs are for teams with 100 users. The image below shows their costs can range from $4,000 all the way to $18,000. The plans reported by AWS are only annual billing options.

In comparison with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne packages are cheaper, with similar features to those CrowdStrike offers. SentinelOne also has its own comparison between its plans and CrowdStrike’s here. Most comparisons from company sites are going to be biased, but SententialOne does a good job comparing finer details between their products.

One of the main differences is that CrowdStrike has more human involvement in their protection, especially their CrowdStrike Complete bundle.

SentinelOne is less human and more machine-powered. They consider this an advantage, and it is to an extent. Human thinking allows for far more nuance and better decision-making skills than AI will ever be able to provide. It is important to have automated over manual analysis, but completely cutting out humans does not mean you can cut out all errors.

You should definitely choose the plan that fits your budget first and foremost, but if you want a more feature-rich platform with more automation, then SentinelOne is your style. If you prefer more human analysis then CrowdStrike is more up your alley.

We can’t advise on whether one performs better than the other. For more information on user satisfaction, you can see our comparison here. If you would like to see more alternatives for Crowdstrike, you can find more comparisons here.
