Great so far

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Contractor Foreman for construction management, and it has been a very helpful platform for our workflow. One of the biggest advantages is how easy it is to enter purchase orders and create invoices. The system allows you to duplicate existing POs, saving a lot of time and preventing you from re-entering the same information repeatedly. This feature alone helps streamline the process and keeps everything organized and consistent. It’s very user-friendly and makes managing project costs and documentation much more efficient. At this point, we haven’t experienced any negatives. Overall, it has been a reliable and convenient tool for managing our construction-related tasks.

Pros

  • Integrates with QuickBooks.
  • Simplifies the invoice process.
  • Calculates job costs.

Cons

  • We haven't noticed any yet.

Likelihood to Recommend

Enter invoices quickly. Transfer over to QuickBooks quickly to payment. Tracks job costs and materials.

We are using Contractor Foremen for the basic of doing RFI, Submittals and keeping track of the contract values. We created the forum to allow access for our client & architect to monitor and respond to the RFI's & Submittals. We also use for the field to be able to upload their daily photos so that we could keep track of the day to day work. They also did their daily logs there as well.

Pros

  • Submittals
  • RFI's
  • Share Info

Cons

  • More user friendly for clients to get in and view

Likelihood to Recommend

It is great for a General Contractor to keep track of items for the office and the client. That is the field that i work in so that is how we used it for many of our projects. Some Owners require other platforms so we couldn't use on everyone of our projects. If you were a manufacturing company I'm not sure how it would work for you.

Great Software

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We made the switch to Contractor Foreman for 2 reasons- pricing and the capability to better manage projects. We are electrical contractors and we are slowly transitioning from the residential servicing field to be more commercial and project based.

Pros

  • Project Organization
  • Reporting
  • Estimates
  • Schedule of Values/Invoicing
  • Customer Service - quick responses to issues

Cons

  • Since we are still slightly residential based, something more residential servicing friendly would be great
  • Scheduling conflicts on the crew schedule - notifying scheduler that a specific crew/tech already has something scheduled for that day
  • Make marketing integrations more simplified

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are a company that is project base, we definitely recommend to make the switch, and for the price, you can't beat it. We came from Service Titan where we were paying 5x as much as what we are paying now.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Contractor Foreman is basically your all-in-one command center for running construction jobs.

Set up jobs/projects with addresses, descriptions, and timelines

Track job progress so you always know what’s done and what’s behind

Keep photos, notes, and documents tied to each job (no more digging through your phone)

Create estimates/quotes for clients

Convert estimates straight into invoices (no double work)

Track payments, balances owing, and overdue invoices

Scheduling

Time Tracking

Pros

  • Time tracking
  • file repository
  • invoices

Cons

  • estimates
  • cost tracking
  • change order management

Likelihood to Recommend

CF seems well suited for our smaller projects and one-off jobs. Things like concrete pads or home renovations are easily with CF.

I would be hesitant to try it with a larger project (ie. municipal sewer and water project). Cost tracking takes some work to stay on top of and becomes quite challenging once change orders are involved.

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We started using Contractor Foreman for daily time reporting and daily logs. Being able to upload drawings is an added benefit we use. Built in safety meetings and incident reports are also great.

Pros

  • Time sheets
  • Daily logs
  • Cloud access to drawings

Cons

  • Submittal module, I just don't like how it works
  • Estimates module, I have no need for this as I use EBM
  • Interface with Quickbooks, I had trouble pulling old data correctly

Likelihood to Recommend

Contractor Foreman is well suited for our small electrical contracting company. I am constantly finding additional features I can use.

Great software and service

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We have been using Contactor Foreman for managing all of our roofing divisions since 2021. We were facing a very daunting software transition after our previous software of 20 years was being discontinued, and the Contractor Foreman team assisted us at every turn to make our transition very efficient and successful.

Pros

  • Customer and Technical Support
  • Customization
  • Jobsite Management
  • Reporting of all types

Cons

  • Continue to limit server downtime (this has drastically improved over the years and has not been an issue)
  • Continue to limit software glitches (this has drastically improved over the years and has not been an issue)
  • Continue to offer human support instead of AI bots

Likelihood to Recommend

Contractor Foreman has met every one of our needs, even when those needs are unique and require specialized customization for our wide range of customers and product options. Their support team and managers are always responsive and quick to assist any time we are in need. Overall we are very happy after nearly 5 years using Contractor Foreman full-time.

CF for the Win

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Contractor Foreman offers endless possibilities. It empowers even the smallest contractors to deliver streamlined, professional services to both residential and commercial clients. With customizable estimates, reusable project templates, employee time-tracking features, and many other tools, it simplifies daily operations and improves efficiency.

One of the features I value most is the ability to create project Gantt charts within the software, along with its automatic profit margin calculations. These tools provide a clear, easy-to-read overview of each project and help me forecast the company’s financial trajectory with confidence.

Pros

  • Automatic live market cust calculations
  • Ghant Chart Creation
  • Employee Time Card and Tracking
  • Service Ticket Notes and File Uploads

Cons

  • Missing the ability to turn a service ticket into a work order and cost estimate
  • Ghant chart creating is fairly difficult
  • Adding different tax amounts in the estimate

Likelihood to Recommend

My company had a large scale project that had multiple change orders requested by both the client and on site difficulties. Contractor Foreman allowed us to track all changes and project cost and profit very easily

Why i like Contractor Foreman

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At [...], Contractor Foreman isn't just an app on our phones; it is the "operating system" of our entire business. In the high-stakes world of exterior remodeling—where weather, material delays, and crew coordination can create chaos—this platform acts as our single source of truth. We used to struggle with communication gaps between the sales rep who sold the roof and the crew leader installing it. Now, every note, photo, and client preference is synced, ensuring the guys on the ladder know exactly what was promised in the office.

Pros

  • Their customer service is next to none. They always have someone available to help
  • The interface i completely customizable so that there is not more information than necessary
  • They way the cost items get tracked within a project that allows for every penny to be accounted for

Cons

  • The way an estimate start to glitch after to many items have been put in
  • The back button doesnt take you to the last page but to the module instead
  • The way To-Do lists are not directly associated within the projects module

Likelihood to Recommend

If we are working with an architect on a highly complex, custom-built home that requires 50 versions of a floor plan. The Limitation: While Contractor Foreman handles documents well, it isn't a dedicated "Blueprinting" or CAD-markup tool like Procore or specialized architectural software. If the job is more "design" than "construction," the tool's document versioning can feel a bit basic.

The Scenario: A crew leader identifies $1,200 in structural repairs needed before the new siding can go up. The Contractor Foreman Solution: Instead of "calling the office" and waiting, the lead creates a Change Order on their tablet, attaches a photo of the rot, and has the homeowner sign it on the spot. The project doesn't stop, and the billing is updated automatically.

GEM REMODELING

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Contractor Foreman is a good platform, this is best for very detailed nickel and dime type estimates but we make it work for what we need. It's nice having everything in one app. Custom service is quick which is nice and they have videos for every section so you can be reminded on how to navigate. As with everything it could use improving in areas but it works as it should and never really may glitches.

Pros

  • Organize leads
  • Layout
  • very limited glitches

Cons

  • needs more customization
  • different way to write estimates where everything isnt a line item
  • able to ask for deposit and show a break down of draw points on the estimate

Likelihood to Recommend

it works for anyone in the remodeling field. nothing is a one size fits all. this is better for contractors doing full remodel projects not service calls
