We use Conga Composer very lightly. We use it to generate contracts and proposals and one off invoices. Creating the proper word template has been a struggle. User interface can be a little more friendly, and finding the correct parameters to use. Also, creating a powerpoint that displays specific account info for all clients in a specific area with a specific asset or data processor would be useful, however Conga Composer does not give us what we are looking for.
In our organization, We use Conga Composer for our Client List
Pros
Query Multiple objects in Salesforce
Activity Logging in Salesforce
Document templates
Cons
I think there is room for improvement in Conga Composer with formatting Document Templates
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for our Client List where we pull from multiple objects. A little more complicated for individual objects, but it's more Admin learning issues than Conga Composer. There is a definite learning curve in formatting templates
Order Form and Contract Generation based on Salesforce Data
Pros
Ability to read Salesforce data from quotes
Allows multiple tables
Cons
There is a lack of flexibility in the formatting (only tables)
Does not work well with anything other than word
Constant 404 Errors in the APIs
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited - Simple quote/contract generations from Salesforce data.
Less appropriate - Only allow for certain formatting, hard to use on anything other than Microsoft word, less reliability not fully up 100% of the time
My organization uses Conga Composer to help leverage the Conga Grid and generate quotes and contract documents for negotiating and execution. The solution supports the complexity of rates of different fee models and service types and simplifies the manual process of creating fee sheets for various contractors. This has enabled the organization to minimize the time required to generate their contract documents. This also reduces manual data entry error by automating store data for consistency of applied fees for the same service offered and purchased.
Pros
Generates data from grid to uniform templates
Stored data in a central repository
Ability to update data in one button
Cons
Formatting issues for a unique templates
Likelihood to Recommend
Conga Composer is good to customize tables and templates that are not using large amount data. But the data may affect Conga Composer with a lot of columns

Pros
Conga Composer assists in using standardized templates for the contracts
It lets us maintain good version control.
It allows for multiple users to work on a contract and the changes are consolidated.
Cons
Programming the templates is difficult.
At various times setting up queries require recalling special names of fields.
It does not connect multiple systems well in set up
Likelihood to Recommend
As noted, Conga Composer is excellent for drafting based on certain templates and standardized language.
We use Conga Composer to generate Policy Declarations, Plan Administration Agreements, and custom mass emails. We are looking to start using JSON to take advantage of toggle preview.
Pros
Pulls in values from Salesforce.
Template management.
Customizing emails with our customer data.
Cons
User interface.
Previewing
Clarity of support documentation.
Likelihood to Recommend
Conga is very robust once you get to know all its features. I do think the support documentation could be continuously improved, and this would help customers get the most out of their already purchased Conga products.
We provide training and grants for gender equity advocacy. Therefore we have a need to provide acceptance emails/letters to participants that have personalized data from our Salesforce system. We use Conga Composer to create and send these acceptance letters, and also grant agreements with personalized details. We also use Conga Composer to generate word documents for our Communications team to develop leader biographies from data collected in onboarding forms. Finally, our development team uses Conga Composer to create and send custom donation acknowledgement emails and letters.
Pros
Makes generating personalized documents easy for the user
Easy to send emails and letters that are generated
Customization of solutions is robust
Cons
Developing solutions is not entirely intuitive but there is strong documentation on how to do it
Automatic spacing in emails is not always ideal
Likelihood to Recommend
Conga Composer works very well for creating personalized emails, letters, and documents using data that has been collected in Salesforce. The Conga Composer/Salesforce integration is robust and allows for using data from many different Salesforce objects. It is very easy for the user to generate emails, letters, and documents -- the user can also select different templates when generating an email, letter or document.
Conga has been used for certain scenarios, like there are specific AI use cases where they want to convert space to text and text to space. That’s where we’ve used Conga Composer — to compose that entire conversation and store it into Salesforce objects.
Pros
The product—well, I wouldn’t say translates, but it actually converts voice to text very well. It understands the use case pretty well in terms of what the user is saying, and then it converts that into text and stores it in the Salesforce variables, either within a custom object or a standard object.
Cons
I wouldn’t say there’s anything that needs improvement, but if there’s something that can be done, I would say we can actually try to plug it into the existing AgentForce, because customers may not want to purchase something extra. If it can be integrated with AgentForce, that would be really good.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think it is suited whenever you’re using it for certain use cases. For example, when you have a use case where you are traveling — mostly MRs or sales reps who are on the field — they would want to use this product because they don’t want to type a lot. Rather, they can just press the voice button and record their voice. The agent should be able to do the authoring, and the Composer should be able to convert that into text and store it. So those use cases are pretty cool for Conga Composer. But for certain cases where you may not want to use voice a lot and instead rely more on typing or writing, those may not be good use cases.
