We're using Catchpoint for synthetic monitoring for our E-commerce websites, utilizing Web and API test types as well as fully scripted Transaction tests. Alert notifications via email and webhooks are very useful being the first point of incident interaction. We're using the scheduler to manage various test schedules and node groups to load balance between pre configured nodes across many geographical points to ensure global reliability.

As a AWS Network Specialist I would say Catchpoint helps in various aspects in organization. Since it has capability for visibility into internet stack which we can say outside of data center visibility. The visualization dashboard is very helpful and able to find out the issue in minutes - where it is broken in our cloud or datacenter or somewhere else. By the enterprise nodes we can get the insights of performance degradation from the Catchpoint even before customers. Also the BGP test cases are very helpful and it will send alerts when there is Hijack and it has good alerting system with detailed analysis in mail. Overall I can say it is very helpful for all organizations that it can see things which we can't.

Recently, we had an issue we have cloud and onprem infrastructure and we need to find the root cause and we are unable to find the issue is in Datacenter are cloud. So here Catchpoint came into picture and able to locate the root cause if issue and then we can able to fix it and continued our business process smoothly.

Its used for synthetic monitoring , it address a critical piece of monitoring as it provides detailed information on failures/exceptions and not only something is inaccessible. This helps the teams to review and focus on resolution instead of making sense of ton's of alerts and then addressing the core issue.

its well suited for synthetic monitoring and Catchpoint could add SLA/MTTR calculations to problems reported and weekly reporting to highlight frequent problems arising from a particular type of issue. There could be another scenario where workload prediction or trend could be showcased by Catchpoint which can add value to monitoring teams and be prepared in advance.

Catchpoint is used for Synthetic monitoring of internal IT resources from various internal office locations and also for Product observability initiative from various last mile connectivity networks and cloud locations in accessing and using the cloud software products to measure the customer impact, connectivity challenges and product usage challenges. Real User monitoring is out of scope currently and IPM is under deep dive evaluation.

We care about around-the-world coverage, and the performance differences. This is how the Catchpoint meets our use case, and we utilize nodes locations, and detail waterfall chart to understand the performance overall.

2. it has webhook, which means if you have other data warehouses or data lake, it can provide the functionality to connect via API

We use Catchpoint to perform synthetic checks of different (SasS) platforms in different regions. The business problem that Catchpoint addresses is the observability of a SaaS application from different regions, providing us with a lot of details such as availability, web response time, latency in different regions. If a problem/alert happens, it notifies the specified teams that will start to investigate why the problem/alert was triggered, which helps to minimize the time to get the right people to work and fix a production problem.

I like the synthetic test feature it has from the edge which mimics the real user - that for me is one of the best features. The certificate expiration, the API monitoring, the slowness breakdown to show where the slowdown happens, and more.

Catchpoint perfectly monitor the working nodes and URL . It shoots alert when anu URL is no reachable without any fail.

It also helps us to test the working URL and has many more functionalities which helps in the monitoring of URLS.
