Use Cases and Deployment Scope
I manage a team of about 20 via the BambooHR® system. I review and approve time cards biweekly including approving time off requests. I help team members use the Goals area for setting personal improvement goals as well as team goals. I also am in charge of hiring for our branch office, so I am familiar with the Hiring/Jobs section of the software.
Pros
- Digital Time Card Tracker
- Automated Emails for Hiring
- Automatic PTO Balance tracker based on submissions.
Cons
- Sometimes employees who have overtime and PTO in the same pay period...I find it confusing to make sure they have everything submitted correctly. Wish there was an easier way to do this.
- I've noticed some bugs with the Hiring Emails not coming to my actual inbox. It seems hit and miss...and the status of "opened" or "delivered" etc...isn't syncing with the ACTUAL last email that I've sent to a potential hire or they've sent to me.
Likelihood to Recommend
We didn't have HR software a couple of years ago...but after a merger I was introduced to this program. Although I'm not a high up admin...I am a manager and it definitely saves me time...not needing to keep track of things in an excel file and email to an outside payroll company every 2 weeks is very nice. I believe it also saves me time with Hiring...not having to manually go and post a job add on every site I want it to be on...the automated features are very much appreciated.
