I had used the personal free edition on my home computers and as the IT administrator for our corporate group, I chose to use the business version for our office computers. Though it may be possible, I've not found a way to be able to push out the program to new computers automatically and typically have had to manually install the program. The notifications of issue is really great and resolving issues in the cloud console is intuitive and easy.

I have been using Avast Free Antivirus for ages--at least 10+ years. A lot of people are well adapted to Avast interfaces and UX design. The switch to Avast Business Antivirus was very easy for me because I do not have to educate end-users. The licensing model is bit stiff, but the price is good (at the moment it's €13 per user for up to 10 devices). Avast advertises heavy Windows+Android solutions that many customers find attractive and best suited for their needs. What is lacking is a better license model. There is no per-user license plan in the Avast portfolio for small and medium companies. When you buy, you have to plan well in advance. Also Avast became, in the last few years, a very resource-heavy solution compared to the other solutions. I still recommend it, but it would be nice if there were a per-user license option, at least as an add-on for SMB licenses.
